We are proud to announce a strategic partnership between Grid Africa and Petrodex to deploy 100 MW of clean energy across Zambia. This is not a single, centralised mega-project. This is a different model.
The program will roll out distributed virtual micro-grids, typically structured in 5 MW units, interconnected directly at distribution level and positioned precisely where demand exists.
No new long-distance transmission buildout
No multi-year grid reinforcement delays
No stranded generation far from load centres
Power delivered at the point of need, working with Zambia’s existing grid infrastructure, not around it. With Zambia’s new IPP framework creating real momentum in the market, we are moving decisively and at speed from concept to execution. Zambia is just the beginning. Zimbabwe. Kenya. Mozambique. Next.
Africa’s energy transition will not be defined by a handful of oversized projects.
It will be driven by hundreds of modular, intelligently deployed assets embedded within real economies – scalable and immediately impactful. We are not talking about the future. We’re building it — now.
